DF30 Metering Valve Platform

Aptar Pharma’s DF30 metering valve platform is the industry gold standard valve technology for pulmonary drug delivery. Optimized to meet all formulation types and challenges, our DF30 powers multiple blockbuster drug products for asthma and COPD. It is widely recognized as the benchmark-metering valve for hydrofluoralkane (HFA) propellant metered-dose inhalers.

DF30 Primeless Valve

DF30 Primeless is the latest innovation in this platform. DF30 Primeless eliminates dose wastage, as well as helping to improve patient compliance, and presents a compelling solution for those transitioning to low carbon footprint inhalers. It is compatible with both HFA and more sustainable metered-dose inhaler propellants, including P152a.

Prohaler®

Aptar Pharma’s Prohaler® is a reliable, high-performance multi-dose Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI ) device suitable for all patient types, including children and the elderly. Breath Actuated Inhaler (BAI)

Aptar Pharma’s patented Breath Actuated Inhaler (BAI) platform is very an easy to use device, suitable for all patient types, including children and the elderly. Dose delivery is actuated by simply breathing into the mouthpiece – reducing patient coordination errors – and is highly consistent, even for patients with low inspiration rates. The BAI can incorporate a choice of reliable and convenient dose-counting technology solutions to support patient compliance.

Intranasal drug delivery

Unidose (UDS) Systems

Aptar Pharma’s UDS Systems are ready-to-use, one-step nasal drug delivery devices that deliver a precise, single dose of the drug quickly, easily and reliably. Available for both liquid and powder formulations, they enable rapid, systemic drug delivery without any need for injection or administration by a healthcare professional (HCP). UDS technology is FDA-approved and underpins the success of multiple commercial drug products and is particularly useful for Life Cycle Management, notably for drug reformulations initiatives.

Bidose (BDS) System

Aptar Pharma’s BDS System is a ready-to-use nasal drug delivery device that reliably and accurately delivers two precisely metered liquid doses. It enables rapid, systemic drug delivery, with reproducible spray performance, without any need for injection or administration by an HCP. The Bidose system is ideal for intranasal therapies that require the delivery of very precise doses of liquid formulation such as nasal vaccines, as one shot can be delivered to each nostril. It is also well-suited to crisis or emergency treatments with the second dose available as a backup.

Landmark® Dose Indicator

Aptar Pharma’s Landmark® Dose Indicator is an FDA-compliant, adaptable and versatile solution for all types of metered-dose inhalers,  dispensing up to 120 doses. Landmark® features an easy-to-read colour-coded numeric display to negate the possibility of undercounting and has a proven track record in both pulmonary and nasal applications. Colour, shape and nozzle block geometry are all customizable.

e-Dose Counter

Aptar Pharma’s e-Dose Counter technology can help to improve patient compliance and is the first step towards a fully connected device. It is fully integrated within the actuator and compatible with any metered-dose inhaler design. Intuitive, reliable, and accurate, the e-Dose Counter features a large, clear digital display with a reminder to use and an “end of use” warning feature.
