Personalised medicine means giving the right medicine in
the right dosage to the right group of patients at the right
time. Research involves developing methods to diagnose
and stratify patient populations to allow for targeted
treatment modifi ed to the gene expression and disease
profi le. This means that networking is one of the crucial
factors for creating the foundation for advances in the
fi eld of personalised medicine. Rasmus Beedholm-Ebsen
is Special Advisor within Life Science at Invest, and explains
how an advantage of a small country, like Denmark, is that
networking is easier, with fewer degrees of separation
between the scientist or scientifi c entrepreneur and the
decision-makers, like government ministers, policy-makers,
and industry leaders.
