Montabaur, Germany – October 31, 2016. Klöckner Pentaplast has strengthened its position as a
global leader in rigid plastic film and packaging solutions by acquiring Farmamak. The new subsidiary is
a leading rigid film solution provider in Turkey and the surrounding regions. Farmamak, with sales of
TRY 155 million (~EUR 47 million), employs approximately 230 people. Its production site is located in
Gebze, Turkey.

Farmamak brings technology, an experienced work force, manufacturing and commercial know-how as
well as new production capacities to the Klöckner Pentaplast Group. This enables the company to be
faster to market in Turkey and in the Middle East and offer outstanding service and expertise to
