Sanbe Farma was established in 1975 by Mr. Jahja Santoso, Pharmacist.
We are the largest pharmaceutical manufacturer (ethical line) from world’s 4th largest country –Indonesia.
Out of top 15 ethically prescribed products inIndonesia, 4 products are from us.
We cater to human healthcare needs mainly through prescription oriented ethical products in various kinds of dosage forms such as capsules, tablets (plain, film coated, and sugar coated), drops, syrups, dry syrups, powder /effervescent powder, creams, ointments, sterile injection (dry powder/ solutions), and suppositories.
We also have separate facilities for production of Penicillins, Cephalosporins, and Carbapenems.
In 2005, we had instituted the new “State of the Art” production facilities for Large Volume Parenterals (LVP/ infusion) using non-PVC flexible Poly propylene softbag from Cryovac, USA, Small Volume Parenterals (SVP) covering basic solutions, maintenance solution and amino acid infusions, and eye preparations located on an 18 hectare land at Cimareme, Padalarang, Bandung, Indonesia.
We have a manufacturing unit producing fat emulsion infusion and we have successfully manufactured and marketed Propofol (PROANES^®) 1% MCT/LCT Injection.
Sanbe Farma developed a plant that manufactures anticancer products (oncology plant) that are highly sterilized. Sanbe oncology plant is using updated technology including isolator units and inline European production machineries. The products comply with US and European Pharmacopoeias. We also apply the use of Rapid Transfer Port (RTP) as supporting equipments in the integrated transfer process to the isolator units.
Our products have been exported to 22 countries including South East Asian countries,Africa, and GCC countries.
The product transfer from the mixing tank to the filling machine is performed by a closed system, through an electropolished 316 L stainless steel piping and 0.22 micron filtering process. Continuous particle monitoring is performed inside the isolator by using a continuous Particle Monitoring System ISOAIR PLUS -USA, to ensure that the isolator will always conform with the Grade A of cleanroom classification.
The sterilization of isolator is using a closed system hydrogen peroxide by a VHP generator manufactured by BIOQUELL –UK.  Therefore it will ensure the sterility of production process area, the product sterility, and it is safe for  the operator and for the environment.
Sanbe Oncology Plant has its own water system (dedicated water system) which is installed by Sanbe project team. The Purified Water (PW) generator and Water For Injection (WFI) generator are from Remoin -Italy.
The overall of Oncology Plant operational are intended to produce a high quality products, to protect personnel and environment from the potential hazard of the products.
We are setting up new facilities for Biosimilar molecules and injectable hormones which will be ready by early 2013.
Sanbe Farma and Caprifarmindo Laboratories’ pharmaceutical plant (Sanbe’s sister company) have been granted the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certificates from Health Sciences Authority (HSA), Republic of Singapore and The Certificate of Manufacturing Status from Executive Board of the Health Ministers’ Council for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States. GCC members are The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The Kingdom of Bahrain, The Sultanate of Oman, The State of Kuwait, The State of Qatar, and The United Arab Emirates.
We also produce veterinary vaccines, such as Newcastle Disease vaccine, Avian Influenza vaccine, and fish vaccine.
